Lodash - sortedIndexBy method

Syntax Lodash sortedIndexBy method

_.sortedIndexBy(array, value, [iteratee=_.identity])

The Lodash sortedIndexBy method gets all but the last element of the array.

Arguments

  • array (Array) − The sorted array to inspect.
  • value (*) − The value to evaluate.
  • [iteratee=_.identity] (Function) − The iteratee invoked per element.

Output

  • (number) − Returns the index at which value should be inserted into array.

Example

var _ = require('lodash');
var list = [{ 'x': 4 }, { 'x': 1 }];

var result = _.sortedIndexBy(list, [{ 'x': 4 }], 'x');
console.log(result);

Save the above program in tester.js. Run the following command to execute this program.
